The Marion Island Marine Mammal Programme is long-term monitoring and research programme currently managed through the South African Polar Research Infrastructure (SAPRI) following 40-years of custodianship by the Mammal Research Institute, Department of Zoology & Entomology at the University of Pretoria, who continue to collaborate closely.
